Stephenville too stout in Jags' debut

The Heritage Jaguars have developed an annual rivalry with Stephenville over the last few years, but on Friday night the visiting Yellow Jackets brought to Don Floyd Field at MISD Multipurpose Stadium a squad that could challenge for another state championship in its division. Jackets quarterback Trot Jordan passed for 195 yards and three touchdowns — including a 55-yard flea flicker on their first play — and the Jaguars could get very little going on offense against a stout Stephenville defense in a 28-7 loss to open the 2025 season for both teams.
